Bloated laminate: this is what the purchase from the online store turned out to be

A long-awaited event happened in my life - at last my husband and I bought an apartment. Contrary to the advice of our friends, we decided to completely take over the design. To tell the truth, I started looking for finishing materials. After watching beautiful pictures on the Internet, reading about what is in fashion now, I decided - only laminate will be the flooring!

In my opinion, the pattern on my laminate should have been exclusively herringbone. I went through all the websites, all the flooring manufacturers, until I found what I wanted.

We bought, as they say, "a pig in a poke", focusing only on a beautiful picture and description on the Internet. I have not read any reviews, I have not consulted with experts. And this was a big mistake - the laminate was from the middle price category, but it turned out to be worse than the cheapest one from local stores.

The first impression is as in the picture!

But - absolutely smooth, without any texture. Once we bought it - laid out the floor - it turned out beautifully. But in cool weather, you don't look like socks - the laminate is so slippery, your legs go apart.

At the first strength test, this coating again showed itself not from the best side - an unsuccessfully moved cabinet and the top layer of several boards were streaked with a scratch.

Less than half a year later, the floor was swollen under the shoe mat in the hallway.

And near the front door and the door to the children's room, at the joints, they found chips from shoes

As for cleaning, you have to wipe the floors every day, rubbing thoroughly with a damp cloth so that no streaks remain. Because dried drops, marks, stains from overly important cleaning, all this is manifested on this coating.

So, I was not lucky with the purchase, I wanted an exclusive, but got a headache.
