"Made a cable clip out of a fork"
At first, the euro plugs made a rustle, sockets, then all of the Soviet model, into which they did not fit. The old people were especially taken aback, they could not connect new equipment. When contacting, simply drilled holes in the cover for new pins, and the socket accepted a foreigner.
Why are holes needed
At first I myself could not understand why were there holes on each plug, thought this is to secure the plug to the cable reelbut the cable refused to fit into the hole.
Only then, when the sockets with a protective connection spread, I realized that they were made, so as not to snag the grounding pins.
Clothespin
The idea of attaching the plug to the cable did not leave me, because not every instrument comes with a case, and for compactness I wind the cable straight onto the tool.
To fasten the plug on the cable, I decided to act our way, with a knife, at a slight angle cut the plastic wider to the hole.
It turned out a wedge, into which the cable passes with little effort, and, as it were, snaps into the hole.
It turned out very conveniently, wound it up, secured it, and there is no need to think any more how to fix the cable so that it does not unwind and get tangled.
Business for a minute, and what is the use, the main thing is to try on when trimming, and not cut off too much, otherwise it will not hold on. But there is always a second chance, there are two holes.
