Do-it-yourself insulated change house 6 * 3: build yourself - do not buy store-bought "firewood"!
Powered by FORUMHOUSE
Construction is not an easy science, and if there are no skills in this matter, you will either have to fill cones or watch how others are doing. Participant FORUMHOUSE under the nickname gna 123 shared her personal experience in the construction of an insulated cabins 6 * 3. How the process took place - see below.
Plot
We reviewed a lot of plots and almost bought illiquid assets by agreement between the agent and the seller. It is good that they approached the question carefully: they themselves dug up the ins and outs, and rejecting this "chic" offer, continued to search further. And finally, at the end of April 2014, they found 12.6 acres in the new SNT, with wide driveways, with 3 phases of 5 kW each supplied with electricity. Distance - 20 minutes walk from the railway, 1 km from the M-4 highway. Of the minuses - in the evenings you can hear the track if the wind is in our direction. But, on the other hand, you always have to choose either peace and quiet, or good transport accessibility.
I had to take a small loan for the purchase, so in 2014 there was only enough money to install the fence. We have a neighbor only on one side, on the rest there is a road and a fire passage, so we had to install a 102 meter fence for 1100 per linear meter, a fence made of corrugated board 2 meters high. And they also brought electricity, the shield was placed on the pole. They paid 18,000 rubles for the connection and materials (prices in 2014). In the fall, they marked a site for the foundation of the change house in the far corner.
Change house: buy or build?
We went and looked at the change houses offered in stores: frank firewood, without insulation, which can be thrown out in a few years cost 40-45 thousand. Something a little more decent, according to the manufacturer, with 5 cm insulation - from 60-70 to 100 thousand rubles. But this is again a lottery and it is not clear what is inside.
It was decided to build with our own hands in order to work out possible jambs, as well as understand the labor costs. They decided to make insulation 10 cm from all sides, which will allow you to stay there calmly not only in summer, but also in spring / autumn. The change house is planned with a room for a dry closet, with a separate exit to a small terrace. Terrace 3 * 1.5 will be completed a little later.
How they built
For the foundation, pits were dug, laid with geotextiles, covered with sand, and leveled. Then a tile was laid on the sand and two foundation blocks on it. A timber was laid on the blocks, treated with fire-biological protection, and a platform was made. A fine metal mesh was stretched under the bottom film to protect it from mice.
The husband decided to insulate the floor immediately and fill the rough floor on it. In the future, they promised worse weather, and on this platform we collected a stack of boards for the remaining construction. The top was covered with a banner.
By the June holidays, they began to assemble the walls and erect a house under the roof. My husband built the walls with the help of my dad, and I was mainly engaged in antiseptic treatment, however, I did not fully master it.
In a few days, they were erected to the stage of overlap, insulated and again covered with a banner on top. We installed windows and an entrance door - they got them free of charge: dad was remodeling his dacha and gave away the old wooden windows and a door - they were quite suitable for our temporary house.

Construction was interrupted due to weather
And here the long rains began every weekend, so the erection under the roof had to be postponed until the end of July. We missed a little bit about the insulation. This, of course, is convenient to do right away so as not to do double work, but you need to be absolutely sure that you will be in time before the weather worsens. During this time, we assembled triangles for the roof and partially insulated the walls of the cabins.
And finally we got to the roof, where a very expensive solution was chosen - flexible shingles. The solution, again, is for training in laying, and in appearance I like it much more than metal tile. True, she cost about 30 thousand rubles for such a house (prices in 2014). A door has been left in the attic space to store building materials there in the future.

Then they slowly took up interior decoration - clapboard. Until the weather finally deteriorated, they managed to paint the entire lining. And we also bought siding for the whole house. She dragged the building materials on her own crumb from Moscow, but they saved a lot by buying them in a wholesale company. In general, this year the construction of the trailer was completed.
Unfortunately, they did not write down the budget, since they bought in different markets and I was not always present, but approximately 130-140 thousand rubles (2014 prices) including siding and materials purchased for interior decoration and veranda, but not yet installed. Experience is invaluable and we will apply it to the construction site at home!
