Serviceable level due to static can show anything
Quite by chance, I noticed the effect that appears at a serviceable level. An aerated concrete block was installed strictly according to the level:
Float in center position. Everything is perfect. But it is worth holding a rubber glove over the plastic of the float, then the air bubble inside deflects behind the hand and so it remains in this position:
Swipe in the opposite direction - deviates in the other direction. If you touch with the other hand, it returns to its original, correct position. Electrostatics. The effect is manifested if you do these manipulations with rubberized gloves. I discovered this when I wiped the eye on the level with dry gloves.
At first I thought that the plastic element inside the level lost its centering and when you press on it, it gives a roll, gets lost. But no, it is fixed securely. The effect was captured on video:
If you do not know about such an effect, then a serviceable level can fail in some responsible places. In dry, hot climates, electrostatics is more pronounced. Or in winter inside the house, when the humidity drops below 40%. Who did the repairs - did you meet such an effect of electrifying the peephole at the level?
