We made a warm floor and we are just blissful - I advise everyone

When we started building a new house, of course, the first thing we thought about was the heating system. This is one of the most critical parts of construction. And after thinking everything over, we decided that on the first floor we would have a warm water floor and additionally - batteries, and on the second floor - only batteries. And now, having lived one winter, we realized that we had made the right decision.

I want to say right away that we turned to a large company that deals with heating and did not regret it at all. Perhaps their services cost us more than if we did it ourselves. But we were not at all concerned about anything after we agreed on the brands, types of equipment and concluded an agreement - not searched the shops for the necessary segments of the heating system, did not bother with their delivery, installation or other problems. And we also received free service for 2 years.

In addition, at the same time, they made us water distribution and sewerage systems around the house, so it turns out that we saved a lot.

The only thing that we didn’t like, as did the craftsmen themselves, was the new system of laying on special mats. They asked us if we wanted to try it out as a new technology, and we agreed. But then the installers themselves said that it would be better to do it the old fashioned way. The fact is that when pouring the floor, these mats are springy and we had to constantly struggle with it. But after pouring everything worked out, and when the screed dried out, there were no problems at all.

As I said, we have underfloor heating and radiators, so our floor is “comfortable”. It is designed so that the pipes are located at a distance of 10 cm from each other. If he were the only source of heat, then pipes would be laid more often.

Under the stairs, of course, there are no floor heating pipes. And there we have perfectly stored vegetables, they are not hot, due to the fact that there is no heating in this corner. But on the way to the stairs, the floor is warm, which is very pleasant.

I will say right away that we turned on the batteries only once, in a severe frost. And then - not because it was cold, but decided to try. It got hot and turned off.

The second floor is also heated from it, where the sensors are reduced to a minimum - there is enough heat from the first floor.

When building a house, I recommend that you carefully think over the heating system and be sure to give yourself such pleasure as a warm floor. The legs delight in this comfort and gentle warmth.
