Electric saw from a grinder. Inexpensive nozzle for angle grinders

We continue the topic of nozzles and in this review - a nozzle for angle grinders, a grinder with a disc diameter of 125 mm, which turns it into an electric saw:

As you can see from the photos, the grinder attachment is as compact as a 12-inch (30.5 cm) electric saw. Available in 11.5 and 16 inch models. This model, shown in the photographs, fits all angle grinders with 22.2mm spindle and M14 thread. There are many manufacturers of such nozzles in China. Can be purchased at Aliexpress. Although I do not see the point in this, attachments are sold in many Russian online stores and simply stores:

The prices are quite adequate. If I knew about this attachment earlier, then it would be possible to purchase a used grinder for it and not buy an electric saw for a machine for sawing aerated concrete. I would save several thousand rubles.

Let's go back to the nozzle. Complete nozzle set:

It is clear that the power of a small grinder (up to 1 kW) may not be enough for confident sawing of large chocks, timber, larch boards. But you can still saw it. Sometimes a bar in the country, except with a hacksaw, is nothing to saw. This attachment will help out and at a cost of 1100-1700 rubles, I think it's worth the money.

The issue of chain lubrication in the structure is solved by installing a small plastic container. From it, the oil flows by gravity onto the tire. The oil should be liquid or not cold (if working in frost).

There is one subtle point in this tool - it is not blocking the rotation of the chain when it is biting. If you use a rechargeable grinder, then the issue is solved by electronics. The rotation quickly stops. And in a network grinder, when the chain bites, the shaft will scroll inside the sprocket - the chain drive. And you have to react quickly, release the power button. And on some models, the power button is located closer to the gearbox. Inconvenient.

In any case, when working, you need to be careful and be prepared for the chain to bite. It is better not to allow this, not to press the canvas strongly against the tree. I think that a more confident work needs a grinder model with a lower handle and a power button in the same place, as in the photo:

Any tool attachment is not a complete replacement for a specialized power tool. No convenience and comfort in use. But they do their job and even save money.
