I tell you how I do not let the Weeds grow on empty beds until Spring. An elementary method that will be useful to all Summer residents

Weeds of all varieties "harm" summer residents almost all year round and terribly quickly fill the vacated beds. With this phenomenon, of course, hassle is added if later in the season you want to grow something on them, but even if they stand empty, this is also bad - after all, weeds deplete the soil.

Remaining in the beds until spring, in the new season they naturally begin to germinate again. Fortunately, once having spent time studying scientific and botanical literature, I realized which of the existing methods of weed control is the most effective and simple, just for everyone!

And we are talking about siderates. This is the name of a whole group of plants that can grow quickly and are unpretentious.

And their main feature is that the root system is a "home" for special microorganisms that enrich the soil with nitrogen.

Siderata are, first of all, legumes - lupine, field peas, alfalfa, sweet clover, raspberry clover and many others!

The root system of all this plant splendor is very branched and strong, it literally suppresses the weeds common in most country gardens, thus protecting the beds.

It is also noteworthy that many legumes lure useful predatory insects that exterminate pests to the site!

It is enough just to sow the vacated beds with green manure crops and for a month or two, or even much longer, even until the very spring, the problem is solved!

Moreover, in order to plant vegetables, herbs, strawberries and in general anything in the beds, it will not take a long time to uproot the siderates! Because it is enough to simply mow them and then, using a little crushing, embed them in the soil.

Such plants decompose very quickly. Due to this, the earth is enriched not only with nitrogen, but also with other valuable elements. Based on personal experience, I can say - after the siderates, everything grows by leaps and bounds!

To literally extract all the benefits from the siderates, you should not leave them for the winter in the beds - before the onset of frost, you need to mow and seal them up.

In conclusion of the topic, I want to add that green manures on soil temporarily free from the main cultural plantings prevent its erosion and even reduce the leaching of valuable trace elements, likely and very rainy seasons.

In such a simple way, I annually save the beds that have been freed up on my site from weeds, further improving them!
