I think not many apartment owners in the bedroom you can find a corner separated by bricks with a small door, which is often used as a storage room. So it was in my case, but during the repair, I decided from the closet with all sorts of rubbish, sometimes Soviet make the most useful volume for storing construction tools.

The width of the doors in the closet was only 50 cm, and together with the frame - 58 cm. I planned to put the new door at 60 cm. If you add to it a thin door frame of a modern design, then it is still at least 6-5 cm wide. As a result, in order to insert a new door made of MDF with PVC, it was necessary to knock down a brick by almost 10 cm with a puncher and even crash a little into the wall (photo 2).

The neighbors, of course, could not bravely endure such a pogrom to the end and began to rattle on the walls and pipes. I had to temporarily throw away the white flag and negotiate for some time. Although this stretched out the renovation a little, it still did not completely stop.

At the top of the pantry, there was originally an independent niche with a separate door (cm. photo 1). Having disassembled the door, he broke down the niche along with all the dilapidated shelves inside the pantry.

When I changed the wiring in the room, I put on a double switch and brought the wire into the pantry to make light there too. Separately started the wire for the outlet. And then he laid the upper part of the opening, where there was a niche, with bricks up to the ceiling.

Of old single bed made of chipboard with a spring mattress inside the pantry, riveted shelves of different widths, under different boxes with tools. The bed, it was, I already decided to throw it away, but then I dismissed it on the shelves practically without waste, and the net became a gift red nosed metal hunters.

When he laid a new linoleum in the room, without cutting it off from a single piece, he brought some of it into the pantry and refined the floor.

At some point, of course, he began to fill a new, so to speak cabinet, with tools. Slowly I still hang the shelves and slowly find a place for 1000 of the most different and necessary little things.

I left the bottom of the cabinet for higher things, for example, such as a table with unscrewed legs, as a rule, etc.

I really liked this change. While for a bedroom, being close to a tool storage is not the best option, there are no other alternatives yet.
