Woodlice has long been used in the treatment of various diseases. Traditional healers loved this weed and dried it in order to use it later for their decoctions and tinctures.

Is this common herb, which can be found in almost every vegetable garden, really useful?

Gardeners do not like this weed plant, because it can grow with great speed and even the first frosts are not afraid of it. Weeding the beds, they throw out woodlice, not even suspecting that it is capable of curing diseases and enriching the body with vitamins.

Woodlice has several names. Some herbalists prefer to call it woodworm, hearty, or canary herb. They know very well that this plant contains much more vitamin C than the well-known lemon.

In addition, the heart herb contains carotene, vitamin E and trace elements useful for the body such as iron, magnesium, potassium, calcium, bromine. All these elements are vital for a person for the normal functioning of the body.

How can wood lice be used?

The simplest thing is to add fresh herbs to salads. It will not spoil the taste at all, but it will saturate the body with useful substances and vitamins. Sometimes woodlice is added instead of spinach.

It turns out very tasty, and most importantly - healthy. There is no need to buy expensive overseas foods to get the vitamins you need. We get wood lice for free, but the benefits from it are even greater.

In folk medicine, there are a great many recipes that include wood lice. Here is some of them.
