An easy way to keep cheese fresh and keep it fresh.
Almost every housewife has a piece of hard cheese in the refrigerator. This product is so popular not only because of its taste and useful properties, but also due to the fact that a great variety of dishes can be prepared using cheese.
But often we do not have time to regularly visit grocery stores and have to buy a larger piece of cheese.
Naturally, such an important problem arises: how to keep hard cheese tasty and not let it go bad?
Experienced housewives have some little tricks in store to keep food fresh and tasty for a long time.
Hard cheese is certainly no exception to the rule.
In this article, I would like to share with you a proven method of storing cheese that does not spoil the product and allows you to preserve the taste for almost a week.
If you follow my advice, then the cheese that has lain with you for almost a week cannot be distinguished either in appearance or in taste from the one you just bought in the store.
And so, we go directly to my method of storing hard cheese.
First of all, you need to purchase a plastic container with a lid from the store. A tightly closed container will prevent the cheese from absorbing foreign odors from other foods currently stored in the refrigerator.
In addition, the cheese will not become aerated, i.e. the outside will not turn yellow or dry.
But that's not all. I put a piece of refined sugar in a container with cheese. The products must never come into contact with each other. After a day or two, the sugar, absorbing moisture, will soften.
It should be replaced with a fresh lump of sugar, which will continue to protect the cheese from mold.
Usually, on the fifth or seventh day, the cheese looks fresh and tastes great.
