We fight the yellowing of the leaves of Women's happiness in the simplest way. May your plant be Healthy
Spathiphyllum, which is popularly called "Women's Happiness", is very unpretentious. It grows in my pot on the windowsill in a sunny place and from time to time I forget to water it, but at least he has something!
It looks livelier than all living things and continues to delight the eye.
But if you notice that the leaves of Women's happiness quickly turn yellow, and the flower itself looks somehow unhealthy, then the causes of a possible “illness” may be:
1. Direct sunlight.
2. Low air humidity in the apartment.
3. Incorrectly selected soil.
Let me tell you about each of the reasons in a little more detail.
Move the flower to a different location
Spathiphyllum has dry yellow leaves when direct sunlight hits the flower itself, which, firstly, dry it and the soil itself, and secondly, burn the leaves.
Women's happiness is not against the sun, but when there is too much of it, the flower begins to feel bad.
Just move to another location where there is often shade during the daytime or there is no direct sunlight.
Spray the leaves
Spathiphyllum loves moisture and sometimes its leaves can begin to turn yellow, even if you water the plant on time.
This usually happens in the summer, especially in the month of July, when the daytime outside the temperature reaches 35 degrees Celsius, and the humidity in the room drops rapidly.
You can experiment and start spraying the leaves of your flower - it certainly won't be worse.
Buy suitable soil
Although Women's happiness is an unpretentious flower, in some, especially rare cases, the soil with which you originally filled the pot may not suit it.
For example, it does not allow moisture and air to pass through well, and this is reflected in the leaves.
Try replacing the soil or buying a special one from any gardening store.
Not the most obvious reason for yellowed leaves
There is a popular belief that spathiphyllum very subtly feels the psychological atmosphere in the family.
If people next to him often scandal, hyster, demonstrate negative emotions in every possible way, then this can cause diseases of the flower itself.
For example, his leaves begin to turn yellow quickly, dry up and fall off. Believe this popular belief or not - it's up to you, but sometimes it's interesting to observe the state of a flower when someone close to you quarreled in the apartment.
From my own experience I can say that the very name of the flower "Women's happiness" fully justifies it - when the family is quiet and smooth, there are no conflicts, and the woman blooms and smells, then the spathiphyllum follows her example.
