The money tree, or fat woman, has been popular for more than a decade. Some people like to think that it brings them good luck in financial affairs - who knows, maybe this is true? In any case, a positive attitude has never harmed anyone.

Many people like its pretty appearance and unpretentious care. But the money tree has requirements for care, albeit modest, - non-observance can lead to the death of the plant. I am talking about mistakes that should not be made so as not to lose it.

Waterlogged soil

Too frequent and abundant watering of the fat woman leads to waterlogging of the soil, stagnation of moisture in it. This threatens with very dangerous consequences - rotting of the root system.

If
"Overflow" will continue, the stem will start to rot, and the whole plant will gradually die. It will be almost impossible to cure him later.

Water the money tree very sparingly, be sure to drain excess liquid from the pallet.

Unsuitable type of soil

Not everyone knows about this, but the fat woman is a succulent. Regular soil is not suitable for growing it. You need to purchase a special one designed for succulents.

If there is no possibility at all to purchase special soil, it is worth at least mixing ordinary soil with sand.

Pot too big

If the pot for growing a money tree is too deep, you will not be able to grow a lush plant - it will stretch exclusively upward.

Also, with a deep pot, the risk of over-watering increases. It is best to choose a wide, but not too deep container for growing this plant.

Frequent transplant

I generally do not advise you to replant the money tree - it does not like this at all. If this is unavoidable, do not replant the plant more than once every three years.

It experiences too much stress every time it moves, which has an extremely negative effect on its condition and growth.

High temperature in winter

The fat woman does not really like high temperatures, this is especially true in winter. The most comfortable for her is 15-20 degrees; at an excessively high temperature, the leaves of the plant begin to actively fall off.

Therefore, it is very important to keep the money tree away from heating appliances, and in general, you should not create greenhouse conditions for it. Then it will delight you with good growth and attractive appearance.
