We make candlesticks from the remains of wood
Greetings to the channel subscribers. I didn’t write for a long time, because I decided to give up on Zen with its inadequate rules and concepts. But then, I hit my head on the kitchen cabinet door and decided to make a short post for a long time))) And it happens.
Today we are making a candlestick from the remains of the wood that you find in your barn. Several slats and a couple of square bars will definitely inflate.
This is how the finished candlesticks look in the end. You can decorate as you like, you can even paint. But as for me, it is better to leave the type of natural wood as it is.
For work, we take a jigsaw, wood glue or any "Superglue". Of course you need a tape measure and a pencil.
The base of the candlestick is a square bar. You can choose any height of the timber, according to your taste.
If you want to make a composition of several candlesticks, then make them of different heights, so it's more beautiful))
The slats are needed to frame the bottom and top of the timber. In this project, the ends of the rails are cut at an angle, but you can also make a straight joint.
The lower rail is thicker than the upper one, this is an exclusively decorative chip and you don't have to bother with this either, although it looks beautiful.
Note that the top rail is attached slightly with a ledge above the bar so that the candle does not flow over the candlestick when reflowing, but fills the tray. This is practical and important to operate.
Everything, then we simply put everything together and put the framing slats on the glue. Do not use screws, this spoils the picture terribly.
That's all, the candlestick is ready. Design it however you want. You can even open the wood with wood stain to accentuate the pattern and give color depth.
That's all. Thank you for your attention to my humble work)))
And I also recently launched my new channel site. There is not much material there, but it is in the process of filling. There are also interesting homemade products there.
