How my neighbor bought apartments for children, setting up a profitable business selling garlic.

Many of my neighbors are engaged in the cultivation of garlic for the purpose of its subsequent sale on the market or delivery to a meat processing plant. And this is a very good income.

Gardeners occupy almost their entire vegetable garden for garlic, leaving very small beds for all other vegetable crops. Those owners who are able to process more acres with garlic rent vegetable gardens from neighbors or relatives who do not use their plots for any reason.

The more garlic grows, the more you can earn from it.
Experienced gardeners can get up to 300 kg of garlic from one hundred square meters. This is, of course, provided that the weather was favorable for the growth of this crop, but 150 kg can always be grown in the worst year.

There are also lean years, when, unfortunately, even the seeds do not return, but this rarely happens, because garlic is a rather unpretentious plant.

To start growing garlic in large quantities, you need to know some secrets. I am lucky that my neighbor, who has been growing and selling garlic for many years, is happy to share her experience.

First of all, it is important to select high-quality and healthy planting material. For one hundred square meters, you will need somewhere around ten to fifteen kilograms, depending on the row spacing.

It is best to plant winter garlic, which is less susceptible to disease and grows larger than garlic planted in spring. The Lyubasha variety is unpretentious and fruitful.

If there is a possibility of crop rotation, this will significantly increase the yield of garlic. But even if you don't change the place of planting the garlic, it still grows well, you just need to fertilize the field.

It is very useful for the soil when you sow green manures after harvesting, and then, before planting garlic for the winter, plant them in the ground. Thus, the soil becomes not only richer, but also saturated with oxygen, which makes the earth looser.

It is important to apply natural fertilizers under the garlic, which do not accumulate chemicals, unlike mineral fertilizers, then the meat processing plant and people in the market will be more willing to buy it. My neighbor usually brings humus and wood ash mixed with sand under the garlic.

Garlic generally dislikes heavy soils and can simply rot, especially if the weather is rainy.
