What and how I water indoor flowers in the fall and achieve fast Growth and abundant Flowering

Lush blooming plants placed on a windowsill or beautifully decorated planters give my home a special chic.

Flowers like not only me and my neighbors in the country, but also guests who always admire how I manage to achieve abundant flowering and rapid growth from indoor plants in the fall.

I want to share my experience for those who do not know how to really come to success and are tired of constant failures. Gentle care and constant care will help ensure flowering as long and productive as possible.

What do caring housewives water indoor flowers with?

Of course, everything comes with experience. Indoor plants need not only systemic irrigation, but also properly performed feeding.

As an experienced florist, I know that:

  • replacing the soil in pots alone is not enough - the effect will last no more than 3 months;
  • it is necessary to provide indoor plants with all important elements and vitamins;
  • you can use sugar as a top dressing - I recommend using a universal watering solution no more than 1 time per month (for ½ liter of water I take 1 tbsp. a spoonful of granulated sugar);

  • tea leaves and coffee houses are no less effective as a top dressing for indoor vegetation (lilies, roses, evergreens) - this will increase the acidity of the soil, give the soil more looseness.

It must be remembered that not all crops require additional feeding. Some plants have a rest period.

In order not to disrupt the natural cycle of such plants, in winter they can be watered once a month, or even less often. It all depends on the temperature in the house and the level of humidity.

What else can you achieve abundant flowering and rapid growth of indoor plants?

1. To feed the flowers, I use a cooled and fresh decoction of potatoes - it is important not to add salt to it in order to saturate the soil with a weak potassium solution when watering.

2. Decoctions containing starch are useful for indoor plants and are not inferior in their characteristics to sugar dressing.

3. I also recommend using vitamin B12 for lush flowering and rapid growth of home plants - 1 ampoule is enough to dilute it per liter of water and feed a room violet 2 times a month.

4. I use aloe juice as a universal top dressing - the mixture strengthens the houseplant, stimulates active growth, with this ensures the prevention of diseases from mold, fungus (I take one tablespoon of freshly squeezed juice per liter of warm water).

I replace mineral potash fertilizers with banana peels. The magnesium and phosphorus contained in the peel of a ripe banana are an alternative to natural feeding.

To do this, I insist half a banana skin on 1 liter of water for a day, and then water the indoor plants for active growth and ejection of buds.

In winter, for flowering and growing flower mass, I recommend complex fertilizers, which include: potassium, phosphorus, nitrogen.

In addition to organics and superphosphates, I use potassium salts and ammonium sulfates as top dressing, as well as solutions with lime and nitrate - these are alkaline compounds.
