Independent performance of work on roof filing, how to carry out installation, installation of starting, corners, fillets
After I finished laying the metal tiles on the roof of my house, I immediately started filing them.
Such work is carried out not only to give the structure a finished look, but also to protect under-roof space from wind, seasonal rainfall, as well as from insect and bird colonization, bats.
For hemming, I used white plastic, which I prepared by cutting into pieces of a certain size. The choice of this material was primarily due to its affordable cost, water resistance, long service life (no stress and mechanical damage).
When doing this work, I decided to install an external lighting system for the house, choosing an under-roof area for the lamps instead of facades.
The roof filing process involved several stages:
1. During the creation of the rafter system, I sawed off all the protruding boards, so that the protruding parts of the rafters were located in one line.
2. The basis on which the fastening of the plastic lining was carried out was a crate and a counter batten.
3. I fastened the cut PVC elements perpendicular to the walls so that the plastic sheet of the hem would acquire greater rigidity.
4. When installing the lining, I used a starter tape, special connectors, internal and external corners, fillets.
5. The fixing of the plastic elements to the wooden ones was carried out using a stapler driving in staples.
6. I inserted the cut strips of plastic lining into special grooves of fillets, and then fixed them on a wooden crate with staples.
7. After finishing the hemming, I installed a rainwater drainage system made of white plastic.
8. In addition to the gutter, I installed street lamps along the edges of the roof, which illuminate the house from each side.
