How I built a solid larch staircase with my own hands Photo report and prices for October 2020
Participant FORUMHOUSE under the nickname evgeniim built a solid wooden staircase in his frame. How the work went, read on, and also see a detailed photo report from the place of work.
Why did I decide myself
For a long time I chose the stairs in stores and on websites. The result is expensive or not very high quality. I decided to do it myself. As the saying goes: if you want it to be good, do it yourself. Do not buy store junk - it comes out at exorbitant prices! Better look at all the details, as I did. I attach the prices.
Choice of material and prices
The pine fell away immediately: a good tree, but not for stairs. Oak is too expensive. The choice fell on larch. This is the best option.
I will not count to kopecks - average figures. The bowstring and steps, grade AB (one side without knots) I bought in one well-known construction hypermarket, the rest - on the market.
Here's what happened:
- Two bowstrings - 5400 rubles.
- Steps 10 pcs. - 7 thous. rubles.
- Risers with a stock of 15 pcs. - 6 thousand rubles.
- One step 1200 mm (long), two platforms 1 * 1m - 3800 rubles.
- PVA glue (very high quality) 1l - 600 rubles.
- Bolts for fastening 8 pcs. - 700 rubles.
Total: 24,700 native rubles.
The tool does not count, something has already been, but bought something. I bought an inexpensive trimming, in principle, it coped with the task: it is waiting for the lining to arrive, if it does not push it. It is useful not only for the stairs.
The main thing is not to have to suffer with the stairs - this is the opening. Consider the design of the staircase and check the opening. During construction, its smallness can be increased or decreased. When you're done pounding, it will be too late to move anything.
I used the modeling program - it helped.
I have a span of 926 * 2498, but the longer the better. If the place allows you to make a straight line at all and not to steam. All hemorrhoids are tied around the bend. Everything else is little things.
