Not so long ago I was presented with a stunning houseplant Zamioculcas. As I later learned, this plant has another name "Dollar tree". Having settled it on the windowsill, I enjoyed the beauty of the leaves, which had a juicy green color.

But, over time, I began to notice that my "green resident" has stopped growing. And from the available sources, I learned that it also blooms. What to do?

First, I decided to feed the plant with nitrogen. I later learned that this substance can rather harm than benefit. After consulting with experts in this area, I learned that the dollar tree needs to be fed from March to September.

To make my gift grow and delight me and my guests, I use several folk dressings.

1. Nutritious lemonade. To prepare such a solution, you need to take 50 grams of any crushed citrus peels and pour 1 liter of boiling water. Mix everything well and leave for 24 hours. Before irrigating the land, lemonade must be diluted with plain water in a ratio of 1: 4. You need to feed in the prescribed period of time once every two or three weeks.

2. Manure or bird droppings is also an excellent top dressing for the dollar tree. For a nutritious cocktail, you need to fill the container 1/3 with manure or dung and fill it with water.

Insist for four days, periodically stirring the infusion. Before starting to feed the plant, the resulting composition must be diluted with plain water in a ratio of 1:20 if it is manure and 1:25 if it is droppings.

3. Yeast feeding. To prepare this composition, you need to dissolve 5 grams of dry yeast in 1.5 liters of water. Mix everything well and add one tablespoon of sugar. After two hours, the yeast nutritional shake is ready.

4. Banana infusion. Banana peel is rich in potassium, which activates the growth of indoor plants. It is enough to pour two liters of hot water over two banana skins. Leave to brew for three days and the feeding is ready.

5. Eggshell contains calcium. It can be applied as during transplanting by adding it to the soil. So he will prepare the infusion and use it for watering. To prepare the infusion, you need to insist crushed shells in water for 14 days.

The dollar tree is an unpretentious plant. If you feed a little more, then it will delight not only with beautiful greenery, but also with charming flowering.
