5 tomatoes that delighted me with taste and yield in the greenhouse
In 2020, I decided to try new varieties of tomatoes. I want to share my impressions of the tomatoes I have grown in a greenhouse.
I'll start with what surprised me. Instead of the Bull Heart variety, completely different orange ovoid tomatoes have grown. They are somewhat similar to the Orange Banana variety, but slightly different in taste. So, this year was not without re-grading. Well, now I'll tell you about the tomatoes that I liked, I would have planted them next year.
BananaOrange
Tall variety, with not very large, dense and elongated fruits 60-80 grams of orange color. I liked them for their bright, juicy and sweetish taste. But there is a minus, they are susceptible to disease like apical rot.
On other tomatoes in the varieties listed below, it was not found. The vertex rot was defeated with the help of dolomite flour (I spread 1 glass of the substance per 10 liters of water and poured it under the root over the previously moistened soil in an amount of 1-2 liters per plant).
CosmonautVolkova
This mid-season variety has quite powerful bushes. The plant is indeterminate, it grew to the very top of the greenhouse, so the top of the bushes had to be cut off.
The seedlings were also well developed at the time of planting in the ground, with a thick stem and leaves. The fruits are red, flat-rounded, fleshy inside. Well suited for salads and processing.
Persimmon
For lovers of yellow and sweet tomatoes, the Persimmon variety is suitable. The bush grows not very large (about 100 to 140 cm). The color of the variety is quite attractive: golden-orange. Fruits are flat-round, fleshy inside, juicy, sugar, with a high content of carotene. Grown in 2 stems. I will definitely plant this variety next year.
Japanesetrufflethe black
I liked the tomato for its original look and excellent taste. The fruits are stored until cold weather. The plant grows no more than 150 cm in height. Up to 6 fruits are formed on each cluster. They are brown-chocolate colored and pear-shaped. Thick and fleshy. They resemble a truffle in appearance.
Goldfleece
The early maturing variety Golden Fleece is perfect for canning. Fruits are small, ovoid, yellow in color, weighing no more than 100 grams.
It grows well even without film cover. Pleased with excellent yield.
