Made a closet for storing things in the garage. Step by step
Greetings to the readers of the Kulibin channel. Today I'm showing you how they made a cabinet for storing all kinds of garage stuff from glued boards and USB panels. It took three days to build such a cabinet, not counting the painting and drying time.
This is how it looks in the finished version. They wanted to make it modular, that is, to make all the sections in advance and then put them on the wall. But then they figured it out and decided to make it built-in, so it turned out to save about 30% of the material from the original calculation.
There is a concrete screed on the floor and a base of boards with five jumpers for each section is made on it. The lower frame was fixed on a screed and the boards were of course treated with impregnation.
We used a 50x150 planed board, just in case I will insert a widget from the Market if anyone wants to see prices or buy.
Since there is drywall on the walls, and behind it a shell-shell, we did not attach the frame to it, since it holds very snotty. We decided to sew up the YUSB niche with panels and attach the frame racks to them.
Now we mount the frame itself. We made the top stroke, fixed and strengthened the vertical posts, since they will have shelves with heavy spare parts and it is necessary to keep it well and so that the weight does not deform the structure of the entire cabinet - this is important.
Partitions were made between the compartments, also from YUSB. The front board is already fixed on top.
We installed a central board as we decided to divide the cabinet into upper and lower sections. So they decided, because the wooden panels, from which we planned to make the doors, turned out to be shorter than the height of the cabinet by 20 centimeters, they did not immediately notice. They threw an intermediate board and another front one from the bottom, now everything came together)))
We paint the face with acrylic paint on wood, and paint the doors separately at once.
Now we install the cabinet doors on the usual internal hinges.
I have not yet decided on the handles on the doors, most likely I will just make holes so that I can open them with my finger.
A friend advises to repaint it white to make it seem lighter, but I imagined white doors with dirty fingers and resolutely refused)) That's how it happened. Thanks for watching. Peace and kindness to all.
And I also recently launched my new channel site. There is not much material there, but it is in the process of filling. There are also interesting homemade products there.
