The best way to stimulate flowering in Orchids. I have been using it myself for more than a year and always helps
Often we buy an orchid at the moment when it is already in bloom. We enjoy the beautiful flowers for a while, and then the flowering ends.
But a new bloom does not come soon, or does not come at all. I want to tell you how to speed up the approaching flowering period. I have done this many times, and have always achieved the desired result.
Try it if you can't wait for the result from your orchid.
Many plants begin to flower after experiencing a stressful situation. So they try to leave behind offspring. So in the case of orchids, I always use stressful situations. I arrange stress for my beauties with the help of temperature differences. This is how I do it.
I usually do the procedure in the spring. At this time, the outside temperature is no longer so low, but at the same time it is not high.
Orchid stress through temperature changes
· During the day, you should put the plant on the window so that it warms up in the sun. Sunlight is very important for the plant, but too much of it should not be. Therefore, the eastern side is well suited.
· At night you need to take the orchid out to the open balcony. If you have it glazed, then put the orchid under an open window. The night temperature should be between 15-16 degrees.
· This procedure should be carried out within 2 weeks.
During this time, the orchid will not only receive light stress and want to release a peduncle, but also be saturated with carbon dioxide, useful for growth and development. And it is needed by roots, leaves, and peduncles.
If it was not possible in the spring, then such a procedure can be carried out in early autumn and even in summer.
But in summer, the temperature difference is not so noticeable, so be prepared for the fact that it will take much more time to form buds.
As for the autumn, everything is fine with the night temperature, but during the day the orchid will not warm up enough, since the sun does not shine so intensely.
Also, do not forget that the orchid needs fresh air. For this purpose, the room should be frequently ventilated. But there should be no drafts. This will have a detrimental effect on the plant.
Another important point, my advice on temperature stress stress is only suitable for a completely healthy plant. If the plant is weak and sick, then such experiments can completely destroy the plant.
