How a large state received energy from the sun for an hour

The so-called "green trend" is gaining momentum every year, and most countries are starting to receive more and more energy from renewable energy sources. And recently, countries have emerged in which clean energy is taking up more and more space.

But until now, it has not happened that a large enough prefecture was 100% powered by renewable energy sources.

Such an important event, which, however, lasted only one hour, took place on October 11, 2020 from 12:00 to 13:00. When the sun powered a large Australian state.

How did this become possible

This unique event was made possible due to the widespread use of green energy in Australia. So, according to the last count, about 228 thousand roof installations were installed on the roofs of houses (and this is almost on every third house).

So these private installations generated 992 MW of energy in an hour, and together with large solar power plants (which produced 313 MW), they provided 100% coverage of the demand for the moment.

Prior to this record, the State met its needs with solar panels at 89%, and this figure is growing every year.

So if the forecast for the installation of additional 36,000 solar installations on the roofs in the next 14 months is justified, then in one and a half years, it will be possible to state that there are areas in the world that are fully supplied with energy from renewable sources energy.
