Wallpaper for 5000 rubles per roll. For what?
I love to glue wallpaper, especially of good quality. Those, which will be discussed, at first seemed unsightly, but in the course of the matter the opinion about them changed. Although the color of these wallpapers cannot be called cheerful and bright, they are probably not bad for a bedroom or even for a hall. Let me emphasize right away that a lot also depends on lighting. Especially, seeing them in good light is important when choosing.
Turkish wallpaper costs about 5,000 rubles per roll. Two rolls of patterned decor for the same price. Surprised that at this price, the wallpaper is made on a paper basis!!! Top of them vinyl, embossed. This, of course, is not uncommon, but I never thought that a canvas on a paper base could be so expensive.
Of the curious things, I would also note that when gluing, the glue can be applied either to the wallpaper or to the wall. The manufacturer does not specify other details. This is the first time I have met this option. When buying, sellers still advised to apply the glue twice: on the wall and on the wallpaper, which I did.
To be honest, for such a price, I did not find anything special in this wallpaper. But it was nice to glue them. Pleasantly pleased with the quality of the joints when adjusting the canvases of the main tone. They are almost invisible, well, absolutely, absolutely. However, there was still one nuance.
The bottom line is that the pattern on a light canvas is not pronounced, therefore it is very difficult to pick it up, and this despite the fact that I'm not complaining about my vision yet. No matter how I twisted, I could not quickly combine the drawing either from the first or from the 10th time.
In short, I was tormented with this case from start to finish. In the evening light, he gave up the idea of picking altogether and threw the gluing until the next day.
It was more difficult to join canvases with colored drawings. To make the joint invisible, I used one non-standard technique on them, which I will tell you about in one of the following articles with a visual video demonstration.
IMPORTANT! I must say a few more words about trimming this wallpaper. If the trimming is done immediately after gluing, then everything seems to be going fine, they are cut without problems. But if the canvas hangs a little while it is being smoothed, for example, over the window opening, then when cutting wet paper does not behave very well - it tears more than it cuts, despite the fact that the knife blade new. This nuance is also worth considering.
All the beauty of this wallpaper manifested itself only after the installation was completed and good lighting was turned on. They just shone and showed the full depth of shades with a pleasant golden tint.
Despite all the advantages of gluing and external characteristics, I think that the price for them is still too high.
