I really love indoor plants, I grow them with pleasure, they decorate my house and give a good mood. But, as it turned out, not all plants carry positive energy and are safe.

Therefore, I had to get rid of some plants, and I do not regret this at all. I'll tell you why I did this.

Plants - pests

1. When I saw in the store monsterthen just fell in love with this plant. After all, he has such large leaves with cut edges.

And the flower itself grows to a very large size, aerial roots give a special charm. But over time, I realized that this plant began to take up too much space in my apartment.

But I did not dare to get rid of the plant. Still got used to it.

But one day the sap of the plant got on my hand, and a burn formed on it. As it turned out, monstera juice is poisonous. And if it gets on the mucous membranes, or inside a person, then there can be very dangerous consequences.

And since I have children, safety comes first. Therefore, I got rid of the monstera right there.

2. Have you heard about such a beautiful plant as

gloriosa? This plant cannot fail to impress. All my guests could not take their eyes off this interesting flower. Gloriosa flowers can change color during the flowering period. This plant is exotic. I didn't know much about it when I bought it.

Then I found out that this plant is one of the most toxic indoor plants. The poison is found in every part of this plant, so it is very dangerous.

Fortunately, I have not experienced its harmful effects on myself. But if some part of the plant would enter the body, the consequences would be very sad.

There are cases that a person even had kidney failure. Therefore, I got rid of such a cruel beauty as gloriosa.

3. Give up evergreen ivy my mom recommended me. She attributed this to the fact that, according to legends, climbing plants bring misfortune to the family. I was skeptical about this. Everything seemed to be good with regard to family life, especially.

But my cat did not go well. Ivy always attracted him, he even tried to climb the vines. But then my cat got sick. The vet linked this to ivy. This plant is poisonous.

This applies to all parts of it. So my mother was partly right. I got rid of ivy too.

Someone refuses plants because they believe in omens. I had to give up these plants because they pose a threat to health or even life. And at home we should feel safe.
