Why Canadian residents are moving to the forest
The climate and ecosystem of Canada is in many ways similar to the typical terrain in Siberia. Nevertheless, historically, housing construction in the two countries is radically different. If it was customary for us to settle as close to each other as possible, so that it would be more convenient to conduct our life and defend ourselves from enemies, then in this wonderful country of North America the historical development went through a gold rush. Individual mines in rugged places have formed a mentality tending to a secluded and almost self-sufficient lifestyle.
Every Canadian, if the level of prosperity allows him, necessarily acquires a cottage in nature, most often in a virgin forest and, in priority, near beautiful reservoirs: lakes, rivers and even by the sea.
Homes built off the beaten track are often works of art. You can find buildings of any style and the most daring design, built on rocks with hanging bridges, wooden and stone eco-houses, classic frame and panel mansions, but always with some original idea, a zest inherent only in this building!
Another feature of buildings in Canada is the mandatory "basement" - basement. If we have a cellar at best, then for representatives of the northernmost country in America, the basement is a huge, furnished, well-kept living space, most often equipped with its own bathroom and a separate exit!
The owners do not forget about the arrangement of the nearby territory. Covered patios, driveways and terraces with breathtaking views complete the look of a cozy, family nest!
Based on all of the above, one can only envy the constant craving of Canadians to be closer to nature and pristine beauty!
