A delicious recipe for pickled cabbage "in a hurry".
Cabbage is one of the favorite vegetables of so many housewives, and this is absolutely correct, since it contains a huge amount of nutrients and vitamins.
In addition, cabbage can be used to prepare various dishes that are suitable for both therapeutic diet food and those who have decided to lose weight. Also an important point is the availability and low cost of this product.
Every year I prepare one very tasty and healthy salad and would like to share my signature recipe with you.
In order to prepare a vegetable vitamin salad in the marinade, you will need the following ingredients: two medium carrots, one large head of cabbage, 2 large cloves of garlic, two bell peppers.
For the marinade: half a liter of water, half a glass of sugar, vegetable oil and vinegar, a full tablespoon of coarse salt and Korean seasoning to taste.
Preparation:
Cut the cabbage into strips, grate the carrots on a Korean style carrot grater, crush the garlic with a garlic press. Mix everything, season with heated oil and seasoning. Then mix thoroughly and leave to sweat for 15-20 minutes.
During this time, cut the pepper into thin strips and add it to the cabbage. Mix everything again.
The next step is the preparation of the marinade: pour water into a saucepan with a thick bottom and put on a small fire. Pour salt, sugar there and bring to a boil. As soon as the water starts to bubble, pour in the vinegar and turn off the heat immediately.
Pour the hot marinade into the cabbage, mix and cover tightly with cling film. Let the salad sit for at least 10 hours in a cool place. I usually do it in the evening and leave it in the refrigerator overnight.
In the morning, the vitamin salad is ready to eat. Since the salad is not so small, I put it in a glass jar and store it in the refrigerator under the lid.
For a long time such yummy is not enough, so after a couple of days you have to cook the next portion.
The big plus of a quick vegetable salad is the fact that you will always have something to put on the table if unexpected guests suddenly appear.
