I accidentally found out that a friend took shoots from my flowers (secretly). Now I won't let go of the hallway
Fiery salute, comrades!
Today on the agenda is a shameless attitude towards other people's labor and property under the guise of good intentions. An unpleasant story happened to me in which, due to the behavior of a friend, I would have to limit communication with her.
Galya often came to my house because we communicate with her at work. I won't say that our gatherings were sincere, but I trusted her. Galina often examined my flowers and rejoiced at the new blossoming violets. But I never asked for a "scion" and did not even ask about the subtleties of leaving.
During the week I had to visit Galina's house. I urgently needed to take invoices, and my friend was sitting with a feverish child. When I entered the kitchen, I saw that a young Tradescantia was growing on Galkin's windowsill. Exactly the same as mine. Immediately I realized that my friend pinched off a piece.
- Gal, looks like mine.
“And I took this from you before you saw it. She's so fluffy that the loss is imperceptible.
- It was impossible to ask?
- Mom said that it gets along better.
During the conversation, it turned out that Galya had already pinched off both the violet and the geranium. And I felt so unpleasant that I would no longer let the woman go beyond the hallway. And it's not that "I'm sorry."
“Why is that? Everybody does it "
No, not everyone does that. People with a conscience and a normal moral character understand:
- Someone else's property, even a matchbox, cannot be taken without demand. Isn't that what our parents and good Soviet books taught us?
- It is disrespectful to dispose of the property of another person at your own discretion without notifying him.
I'm not even talking about the fact that there are special indoor plants. Sometimes, even the loss of one shoot can stop the growth of an entire bush. I can't help but mention the cost: the geranium bush, from which Galya stole a stalk, was grown from a cut at the price of 2,500 rubles. Why did the woman decide that it was she who should get such beauty just like that, even without a simple request? Wouldn't fall apart.
"It takes root better this way"
An absolutely stupid omen has nothing to do with reality. "Thieves" came up with it to justify their job. Indeed, in the depths of the soul, conscience treacherously whispers about the simple truth that it is still impossible to take without demand.
Cuttings take root if the conditions for root growth are met. All. In inept hands, there is a high probability that the scion will rot in a jar of muddy water and floating midges. Therefore, cuttings must be obtained free of charge, so that later you will not feel sorry for the money. A profitable but immoral philosophy.
But the deterioration of relations might not have happened. There is a simple human "Ask". I would gladly cut the young Tradescantia and geraniums into Galais, telling also about the intricacies of caring for them.
What would you do if a guest secretly broke your favorite plant? Maybe I'm too hard on Gala?
