Creation of permanent formwork for the foundation of the fence, what is important to take into account the nuances, stages of work
During the construction of the front fence, I could not decide for a long time what type of foundation to choose for it. As a result, I opted for a design that provides for the installation of permanent formwork.
Thanks to this solution, I was able to solve two issues at once. Firstly, I saved money on decorative facing of the foundation, since the formwork was assembled from sections of the eurofence. Secondly, I did not have to buy boards and plywood, spend time assembling the structure, and after the concrete has set, dismantle it.
To carry out the work, I had to invite an assistant, since the sections of the eurofence are heavy and it is impossible to install them alone.
The process of constructing permanent formwork included several stages:
1. After preparing the trenches and installing the metal poles, I began to assemble the concrete structure, for which I ordered sections with mortgages.
2. I put the elements of the eurofence parallel to each other, leveled them, and connected them inside with fittings and metal pipes, thus ensuring reliable fixation of the sections.
3. Due to the fact that my site is uneven, in one part of the fence I had to pave the boot and boards under the concrete elements of the formwork, thanks to which the structure was able to be level.
4. Inside the reinforced concrete sections, located between the wicket and the sliding gates, I laid the cables for the intercom and outdoor lighting. To access this communication, I installed a box, and also made a street socket in one section.
5. As soon as I completed the work on the creation of the formwork, I laid the boot on the bottom of the trenches, not tightly. Next to the structure, I prepared stones to be thrown inside during the pouring of concrete.
