Choosing a snow blower before prices jump: which one you chose. We are waiting for the snow!

With the move to our own house, we have a very acute question of snow removal. Fortunately, we live close to a street in a village that is regularly cleaned. But at the same time, the area in front of the house, where you need to park cars and drive into the garage, make up a fairly large area.

Earlier, when the construction was still going on, my husband shoveled the snow on his own, and after a heavy snowfall he hired a tractor driver to roll the snow aside. But this is very tiring, and the tractor driver does not always appear in shape, or has time to reach us.

And even last winter, we decided that it was easier to buy a snow blower, because you also need to clean the paths to the bathhouse and the shed in the garden.

Choosing a model for ourselves, we understood that we need a gasoline unit with a capacity of at least 5 horsepower, so that he can remove the packed snow, which is filled with the passage to our house when cleaning the main streets. This blockage is very dense and in snowy winters it appears several times a day when a snowblower drives along the street.

The non-self-propelled unit was not considered, because I will not be able to push it, and my husband is not always at home. And suddenly - snowfall, and I will not be able to call in to the house.

We also had other requirements - a metal auger, adjustment of the snow thrower in direction and range, ease of operation and, of course, price. We were not going to take a snow blower for the price of a car. After all, before that they managed with the help of a shovel and a scraper, so there was no point in spending crazy money.

Daewoo options were first considered. Will give 1080 with a power of 10 hp. we liked it, he has ice ax augers, headlight, control. But we did not like the price of 89,990 rubles.

Then the seller offered us a younger brother - Daewoo Dast 7565 with 7.5 hp, it has all the options, but it is less powerful. But the price of 49,990 rubles is already much closer to what we wanted.

Then we looked at Huter 4100 cars. It costs 35,000 rubles. But, to be honest, he's somehow unreliable, like a child's car.

Of course, it is much cheaper, but it does not inspire confidence at all. Although outwardly so cute, yellowish. But this is purely my female sympathy. Even I understood that it could be a waste of money.

In the next section there were snow blowers with the Russian names Rys, Patriot, Siberia. But it turned out that none of them are produced in Russia. Lynx, for example, is made in Belarus. And the Patriot is both, an American car.

And then my husband saw his dream - a tracked snow blower. I looked at the price tag and just sighed. Patriot Siberia costs 61,000 rubles. But he, of course, besides caterpillars, has a lot of other advantages. Reliable auger, convenient control, automatic start.

We bought ourselves this snow blower and should deliver it in a week. We are waiting for the snow!
