I really like violets. Their flowering evokes tenderness. They soothe and tune in to pleasant memories and feelings. True, I did not immediately succeed in making friends with them, since I previously knew little about them and made mistakes when growing them.

Today I can boast of magnificent plants with lush and vibrant flowers. In the article I will tell you about three basic rules that every violet lover needs to know.

For information! Violets have a second name - senopoly. They were found on the territory of the Uzambar mountains, therefore they are sometimes called the Uzambar mountains.

Small pot

One of the reasons for poor flowering can be a large pot. In this case, the plant will begin to spend its energy on growing and strengthening the roots, and it will take a long time to wait for beautiful flowers, not to mention lush flowering.

It is worth choosing a small dish for planting senopoly in the ground. The ideal option would be a pot, the size of which will not exceed the diameter of the outlet. Enough - 1/3 of the total. Check it out and see for yourself how quickly the flowers begin to appear above the leaves.

Need to know! The exception is ampelous varieties, which are also called "trailers". They require large dishes.

With a large pot, violets will first have to fill the volume of the dish with roots, and only after that they will begin to bloom. And, if you take into account the speed with which the senopoly is aging, then you can not wait at all for flowering.

Another disadvantage of large pots is root decay. When watering in a large container, the soil dries out rather slowly. For the roots of violets, constant contact with moisture is harmful, therefore, using a large volume of container for growing a plant is unacceptable!

In terms of material, plastics are preferred. It is advisable to put the pots in a cozy place on the windowsill, with enough light. Violet does not like the "bust" of the sun, so it is impossible to allow direct sunlight. The best option is the west side. If this is not possible, then thick curtains or curtains will help protect the plant from the daytime sun.

Violet shape care

It is important to regularly monitor the appearance of the plant: cut off damaged leaves and dried flowers to form a beautiful bush.

It is not very pleasant to look at a violet that grows by itself, without human intervention. She turns from a decorative flower into a wild plant and looks untidy.

To prevent this from happening with your violet, you must:

· Turn the bush to the sun for uniform development of the rosette of leaves;

· Get rid of stepchildren, so as not to interfere with flowering;

· Cut off the lower leaves that are outdated;

· Make sure that the decorative flower does not turn into a tree: due to the removal of leaves, the trunk may become bare. In this case, you will have to deal with re-rooting. To do this, you need to cut off the top, put it in the water and wait for the roots to come out.

Top dressing and watering

To achieve lush flowering, the plant needs feeding. It is advisable to carry it out once a month in the absence of flowers and twice a month if flowers have appeared.

Potassium and phosphorus are important for senopoly, so fertilizers should be chosen taking into account these components.

Despite the fact that the violet blooms year-round, it must be replanted at least once a year. Some gardeners do this twice a year: in the fall and in the spring. Moreover, the pot does not require replacement, but the earth needs to be refreshed.

Worth knowing! Experts recommend foliar feeding for violets. For this, liquid complex mineral fertilizers will be quite suitable.

The water for irrigation should be warm and settled. You cannot fill the plant! It is enough to saturate it with moisture once a week. You can add a little fertilizer to the water. It won't hurt!

The violet does not require special attention and constant monitoring. Give her the opportunity to develop and grow on her own. Remember that there should be a measure in everything. You will only have to subtly guide the plant towards lush flowering. Good luck!
