How I defrost a sewer pipe with a garden pump. The specialist with the equipment did not help

A member of our portal under the nickname zork71 defrosted a sewer pipe in his private house on his own. How he did it - read on. Perhaps this experience will be useful to someone.

New home - new problems

In the spring we bought a private house. Sewerage - septic tank. The drain pipe is poorly buried, about half a meter. Deepening: 10 meters in a straight line under the house, and then with a turn of 90 degrees and 10 meters to the pit.

All attempts to clear the blockage have failed.

Everything was going well until last week. The other day frost hit and the water began to go badly, and almost immediately after that it stopped completely. Exercises with the plunger did not help.

I decided to act: I bought a 5-meter spring-type device for cleaning the sewer. I did not find any obstacles in the house during these 5 meters, from the side of the septic tank I rested on 4 meters and failed.

Having signed his own impotence, he called an ad specialist, with imported equipment - a spring with a tip, 4-meter-long extension sections, are driven by an electric drive. From the side of the house I walked 12 meters, from the side of the septic tank - 5 meters. He fought for three hours, after which he gave an expert opinion that we had ice there, with which he left.

How I melted the ice in the chimney

Attempt three. Went to the store and bought a garden pump. I put two hoses on it - one stuffed it into the sewer from the house, it fit 10 meters, probably just before the 90-degree turn (many thanks to the builders of this hydrotechnical miracle). I didn't get any further.

I pumped out everything that was there - 5 buckets. I poured 5 buckets of highly salted boiling water. I put the outlet hose in there too and mixed all the water. Has cooled down almost instantly to very cold water. I waited half an hour, repeated the plum-bay cycle. And so five times. The ice melted by my efforts, how can I remove the blockage now?

What to do with the blockage?

The next day I tried again, but the mesh on the filter immediately became clogged with debris when trying to pump out water. He assumed that there was a blockage around which frost had formed.

And another mystery, at least for me. I pour water, the level in the drain rises, then slowly decreases, to a level just below the floor level. But not lower. And no matter how much you add, it rises and falls. At the exit from the septic tank, water movement was not noticed.
