How I save on household chemicals! 5 "things" that I stopped buying in the store and started making my own
Unfortunately, our health does not get better from year to year! And there are a number of reasons for this: ecology, lifestyle, genetics, etc. And as soon as any abnormalities appear in our body, we frantically begin to look for the reasons that led to this. So maybe you shouldn't wait, but start taking care of your health right now, at least at the household level?
Good afternoon dear friends!
We will begin to acquire expensive “environmentally friendly” household chemicals, which, alas, are not available to everyone, or we will make it ourselves according to folk recipes from improvised substances. As for me, in the current conditions the choice is obvious! Moreover, homemade homemade remedies are no less effective than the advertised eco-chemistry, and the price of the issue is incomparable.
And in order to prove this fact to you, I prepared a small a list of 5 "goods" - self-made, which are able not only to save the family budget, but also to keep the cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere throughout your home.
1.Home Deodorant Gel. How often do you buy an air freshener (fragrance) for your home? Every two months? Maybe you should think about it and stop just wasting your money? After all, a homemade deodorant is able to fill your home with a pleasant aroma for as long as a store deodorant, only it will be absolutely natural and safe. With all this, the cost of its ingredients is generally "trivial". Look, you will need: gelatin (28 g), water (2 tablespoons), salt (1 tablespoon), essential oil (20-30 drops) and glass jars.
So, first dissolve the gelatin completely in hot water, then add salt and a second glass of cool water to it. Mix well. Then add essential oil to each glass jar, and then fill them with a gelatinous mixture. For beauty, you can use a little food coloring. Stir and leave to cool. Actually, that's it! The home deodorant gel is ready.
2.Washing powder. What do you think about replacing expensive washing powder with incomprehensible ingredients with a 100% natural, but no less effective mixture of your own production? Positively! Then I ask you to love and favor a small list of the ingredients you need: soda ash (0.5 tbsp.), citric acid (0.5 tbsp.), baking soda (1 tbsp.), salt (0.25 tbsp.), glycerin or castile soap (100 g). All!
And the recipe for the powder is outrageously simple! Grind the soap on a grater or in a blender, then add all the other ingredients to it and mix thoroughly. Store the mixture in a waterproof jar, in which you can add an additional bag of silica gel.
How much mixture do you need? For machine wash 4-5 kg of laundry, use 1 tablespoon of powder, for 6-7 kg - 2 tablespoons.
3.Dishwasher tablets. I don't think it's worth talking about the price of dishwasher detergent: it bites! Therefore, I suggest you make alternative pills for your "helper"! So, to make about 28 tablets, you will need: citric acid (180 g), soda (180 g), coarse salt (90 g), vinegar (120 ml) and lemon essential oil (15-20 drops). Yes, I almost forgot - and an ice mold.
And then everything is simple! Start mixing all dry ingredients, gradually adding the vinegar. Stop pouring the vinegar as soon as the mixture starts to stick together. Then add the essential oil, stir again and place the mixture in an ice cube tray. Now leave it in a dry place overnight. Everything, you can use the pills for their intended purpose.
4.Fabric softener. Did you know that most fabric softeners contain ingredients that are extremely harmful to your skin? And they smell very strong! Fortunately, you can make your laundry soft and pleasantly scented without it. There are several ways to do this. The first is to add baking soda to your laundry detergent. It will soften the water and allow better rinsing of the laundry, making it softer and more pleasant to the touch.
The second is vinegar, which is found in every home. It is usually added to the washing machine compartment during rinsing. Vinegar helps dissolve detergents, removes soap residues and unpleasant odors from dirty laundry.
And the third way is to use woolen drying balls. They are simply put into the drum of the washing machine. As a result, they soften textiles and act as an antistatic agent for fabrics.
5.Dust spray. Just cleaned up the apartment, and the dust is there? No problem! It is possible to reduce its quantity, which means to reduce the time for general cleaning, by one or two! It is enough to use a special anti-dust spray. Coy will not only help you get rid of it, but also prevent its reappearance.
To do this, take water (1/2 cup), olive oil (2 tablespoons), vinegar (4 tablespoons), and lemongrass essential oil (10-15 drops). Now mix all the ingredients in a spray bottle and you're done! You can spray!
