Jack of all trades are in demand in the modern business world, including at the construction site. Today you are a plumber, tomorrow you are an electrician, and the day after tomorrow, if your boss asks, you are a sculptor. It happens!

It is high, no one will see there!

Universal builders will complete any task. And it doesn't matter if in some business there are neither skills nor education. There are talents in any brigade who will replace the sculptor for a small bonus.

For example, you need to renovate the facade of a building from the century before last. Yes, not a problem - the contract says that repair means there will be repairs! Dilapidated statues hang on the facade - after the commissioning of the object they will be like new!

And then, who can prove that this is bad and unprofessional? Let's start with the fact that the statues are high and no one will be looking at them there. And if they do see? Well then, let them prove that this is not art. Or maybe our newly minted sculptor is a surrealist and he sees it that way!

The line between art and curvature is thin. Here's how it is, for example. Is there a face? There is. Eyes and nose available? Yes, and it seems even in its place. Ears on your head? And the ears remained old, untouched. Well, what claims can be made in this case? The biometrics of the face of the god Mercury was not applied to the contract!

But if the mythical Mercury could be originally embellished by the sculptors of the past, and modern generalists simply accidentally restored artistic justice, then everyone saw Vladimir Ilyich. Not live, of course, but nevertheless ...

Let's just imagine what kind of punishment would have awaited these would-be restorers some 40 years ago. You should not think about a long prison term with confiscation of all property and stigma on the family. The punishment would have passed quietly, in a ward of a closed psychiatric institution.

If you can't - refuse!

If we take this issue seriously, then the problem lies not only at the construction site - it is everywhere! In pursuit of money, "generalists" spoil the facades with ugly statues, prescribe unnecessary treatment, forget to tighten the bolts on the wheel, and give out packs of "competent" legal advice. The principle is simple: if you cannot - give up, do not disgrace the profession with such results!
