Facade for 100 rubles. sq.m. Budgetary, Better and Easier Siding
At the end of the construction of a house, many do not know how to decorate the facade. Most often they use siding, plaster, facade tiles, facing bricks, etc. Due to lack of funds, many decide to make the cheapest finish.
How to make it cheap and at the same time make the facade look expensive and beautiful? Let's consider one interesting option with a roller (see below).
Plaster protects the walls of the house from ultraviolet radiation, snow, rain, wind. The durability of modern plasters makes it possible not to think about repairs for decades. Plastering gives an endless field for the implementation of the most daring design ideas.
Decorative plaster of the facade is different. Mineral plaster is the cheapest, made from cement and sand. Mineral plasters have vapor permeability, resistance to the development of mold, mildew, fire safety, temperature resistance. Minus: after 10 years, the facade finish will have to be updated.
Silicate plaster is made from quartz sand. It is plastic, vapor-permeable, easy to clean, strong, does not absorb moisture and repels dust and dirt. This plaster can be applied to any surface. Silicate plaster dries quickly and therefore requires experience in application.
Silicone plaster. Similar to acrylic in terms of characteristics.
But silicone passes steam better, but does not absorb, repels dirt. The material is rubber-like in composition, elastic and stretches well. High adhesion, elasticity, ease of application, resistance to any climate, withstands temperature extremes. Cons: high price.
Acrylic plaster. Pros: the compositions are sold ready-made, you do not need to spend time preparing. You can plaster yourself. High adhesion, low water absorption. Cons: low vapor permeability, fire hazard.
The types of plasters reflect their texture. There are such variations: lamb, bark beetle, mosaic, groats.
The plaster can be applied to the surface with or without reinforcement. Reinforcement (facade mesh) does not allow the plaster layer to lag behind the wall surface. Moreover, the plaster will not crack.
If concrete, brick, then the plaster lays down perfectly without a reinforcing mesh. If polystyrene, mineral wool, wood, then the mesh is required.
A chic option with a roller. You can do it yourself for a penny. Reinforcing glue is applied to the cleaned surface of the facade in 2 layers. Then the same glue is diluted, but thinner and rolled with a textured roller. Various rollers are on sale. For example, structural "polka dots". There are also other rollers for decorative facade finishing. You can get different textures: brick, crumpled paper, leather, pile, wood, etc.
Even under the crocodile skin can be made. Many people do this. Take a regular roller and make a textured one out of it using hot glue or sealant. After applying the texture with a roller, paint the facade with paint.
