No ammonia! My favorite way to clean the gas stove grates: no smell, no dirt left
Greetings to my dear readers (I think it was the hostesses who were attracted by this article)!
Recently, in any store of cleaning-detergents - a huge selection. Experiments on indiscriminateness in substances available in the composition of the product from the store sometimes end sadly.
For example, following the advice of a friend of a summer resident, my sister tried a very powerful cleaner for cleaning gas stove grates. She did not take into account the fact that the summer resident used it on the street in the village.
My sister sprinkled it with the product and left it in this form in the sink overnight. Since that time, traces of splashes of cleaning liquid have forever remained in the stone colored sink. True, it must be admitted that the gratings were cleaned perfectly, one could even say ideally. I'm afraid to lie, it was a long time ago, but I think she used Shumanit. I have never bought it since then, although my sink is stainless steel.
I also experimented before and tried many different methods and tools. And even once the dirt was perfectly removed thanks to the use of ammonia. You are all familiar with this method.
But the smell in the house is then hard to erase. In winter, we don't leave the windows wide open, and you can get poisoned that way. In the summer it's still okay. But still, there is no desire to apply it periodically. It was the stench that scared me away from this cheap but insanely effective cleaning method.
I found another insanely effective way! And how could I not have thought of this myself before!

One friend of mine, as she says, has long forgotten about the torture of cleaning the gratings. As she says, you can even burn the grates on fire beforehand. You know, you turn on the gas and run the grates over the fire. There is almost no burning or smell, do not be afraid. Especially if you turn on the hood.
Then she ordered almost boiling water, well, very hot water, to pour in a large basin or bucket (who has something that fits in size) washing powder, which contains bleach. You can not regret and use an expensive powder for the best effect. All the same, the powder leaves just a couple of dining beds. I dissolved Ariel well in hot water and simply drowned the grates in this container. I have for this a tall bucket with a lid, bought from #Fix Price. Perfect fit. A lid is required so that the solution cools down as long as possible, dirt and carbon deposits soften better.
When the solution has already cooled, you can wipe it off with a metal brush or sponge. All grease and soot deposits are easily washed away and the grill is like new - perfectly clean. Rinse, wipe with a dry cloth and that's it. No smell like ammonia, no dirt. I recommend this method - now it is my favorite of all that I have tried, and the truth is very simple, easy and does not require large expenses - #saving .
