Double pot for Orchids. Why do I recommend it to everyone and consider it Best for a flower

A few years ago, I admired orchids exclusively from the outside, not daring to grow them at home.

My past experiments with growing orchids ended in failure, the flower simply disappeared, despite regular watering and feeding.

On one of the forums, I read the advice to grow an orchid in a double pot, and now I think this is the best solution for such a whimsical flower. What's the secret? I share with you in this article.

What is really a pot for an orchid

When choosing a pot for indoor plants, many of my friends are guided exclusively by aesthetic considerations. The moment is certainly important, but far from the main one.

A beautiful pot does not contribute to the correct growth of the orchid and certainly does not protect the plant from death.

The main requirements for choosing a pot for an orchid should be:

1. Having enough drainage holes for the roots to breathe.

2. Colour. It is better to choose a transparent double pot so that it is convenient for you to control the dosage of watering.

3. Choose capacity according to the size of the root system.

To create aeration (respiration) of the roots, you can use additional drainage in the form of your own holes made, but it is most convenient to buy a double orchid pot, where all this is provided initially.

Why I Recommend Double Bottom Orchid Pot

After many experiments, I have come to the conclusion that a double pot is what you need when growing an orchid. Why do I recommend this option? It's simple:

· The ability to water the plant not regularly;

· No need to frequently replant;

· Facilitating the transplant process;

· The use of effective bottom watering, which prevents excessive moisture, as a result, root rot.

A double pot for an orchid costs a little more usually, which is fully compensated for by the ease of use, as well as the results of growing.

It was in such a pot that I managed to grow my first perfect orchid. In the confined space between the first and second pots, the water practically does not evaporate, which excludes frequent watering, therefore, reduces the risk of developing fungus in the roots of the orchid.

Rotting and fungus are the most common causes of the death of this plant. In addition to all the other advantages, I want to note that double pots look unusual and attractive.
