I grew up without a father, so from childhood I know how to sharpen knives and scissors without men. Without a bar or other special devices. And they didn't even know the special devices of sharpeners in my childhood in Soviet times and the 90s.
No, I do not detract from the abilities of men... But whoever I asked in my life, I never liked the result. You know, when the men sharpened their knives for me, trying to please me, the blades as a result always became uneven, in places they sharpened, in places they did not finish. And pretty soon I had to throw away such a knife without making the most of it.
And I have never had any acquaintances with knife sharpeners;) Now you can find it via the Internet, but there is no particular need. It's just that I myself happen that I teach other housewives, whom I visit, so that they do without the help of men in this matter. And they joked in response that I had already taught them so many useful things, that soon men will not be needed at all.

My way
This option does not require any tools. And literally after 30 seconds, at most a minute (if the case is neglected), the blades cut perfectly again. If you periodically carry out such a procedure, it will take 10-15 seconds at all.
You just need to take two knives, and hold the blade against the blade several times. Try it, you will feel the difference in BEFORE and AFTER. It's the same with scissors. You just need to open the scissors all the way and carry out each side (leg or how to designate it more correctly). Any housewife can have two scissors or two knives. And if not, then you can and a knife on a scissor blade, as a last resort.
