I bought a summer cottage 4 years ago. My wife and I could not get enough of it, for a long time they dreamed of a house in a calm area, a shaded gazebo and a barbecue and, of course, about their own vegetables. Our dreams and hopes turned out to be.

As experienced people say, before buying a house or apartment, find out first what kind of people live nearby. Life has become a hassle. A neighbor demolished the old "hut" and began building a tall house. At the beginning of this construction, I was not going to conflict with anyone, well, a neighbor is reconstructing an old house, I was happy for him. I had no idea that it would be a three-story building. And now I am convinced with my own eyes that the palace is growing by leaps and bounds, and it is already clear that there will be no end on two floors.

Naturally, I panicked. Before planting vegetables, my wife and I divided the plot into zones with lots of sunlight and shaded corners. This allowed us to grow enough vegetables and fruits for our family.

Now this tall house is being built three meters away near our fence, and when fully erected, the entire site will be in the shade.

The windows of this giant will overlook our courtyard, who will enjoy being under round-the-clock surveillance? We, who are not accustomed to hiding, doing business, do not want to be under constant control from our neighbor.

I tried to talk to him without a scandal, told me that he didn’t suit me, he didn’t want to hear anything, he didn’t make contact. He said that all the necessary documents and permits have been drawn up and if there are complaints, then go to the architecture department and ask.

I decided to contact the chairman of the dacha council, and then to the city administration. The manager offered to write a complaint, but immediately said that there would be no sense. Allegedly, a neighbor had already come to him, consulted on how to resolve the conflict peacefully. He asked me to explain to me, so dull, that the permits had been agreed with the chief architect of the district, that is, he had not violated anything. It is laid down by law to retreat 3 meters from the boundaries of our land plot, he followed the rule.

The number of floors erected should be no more than three, the neighbor has fulfilled the norms. And the fact that a three-story house casts a shadow on our site, and strangers will look into the windows - it's okay.

I turned to the city administration. They advised to go to court with such a question, as if these problems were not considered in the administration.

At a consultation in court, he explained the cause of the conflict. He eloquently reported that because of this construction, the living conditions of the family had deteriorated. And what do you think? The answer was dumbfounded, puzzled and indignant. My option to achieve the demolition of a three-story building is ghostly. They said that enough evidence was not provided and the construction of a neighbor's house would not affect my property. For two years I cannot resolve the situation.

And only now I read in a publishing house that the State Duma has proposed to pass a law prohibiting "plunging into darkness" neighbors in the country.
