One of my favorite crafts, mirror Starburst or, as the translator says, a star explosion. It was done a long time ago, five or six years ago, moved with us from the old to the new apartment. Consumables available to all:

  • regular double-sided cosmetic mirror- disassembled, used the side without magnification and a plastic rim;
  • bamboo sticks- rays;
  • acrylic mirror mosaic- I have three sizes, round, about 60 pieces (you can buy at aliexpress or replace with something else);
  • thick cardboard- the base, a little thinner than the mirror itself, again, there are a lot of options;
  • instagram viewer
  • hook- from my old photo frame;
  • paint- aerosol, silvery;
  • glue.

At first Latvian glued sticks to the base, just broke off to the desired length. To avoid a chaotic mishmash, I used the division method starting with four long ones, forming sectors, then four more shorter, in the center, and so on, as long as there is enough space. I covered the finished base with paint from a spray can, and immediately painted the plastic rim.

She pasted the mosaic at random: "I poured all sizes on the table and just glued everything in a row with a glue gun." I glued the cardboard base with rays to the mirror, not forgetting about the hook. At the final stage, I glued the bezel to the mirror. The result is a light, original design with a diameter of about 60 cm, with a 12 cm central mirror. Stylish and exclusive decor.

By the way, Latvian prefers Hand Made in the interior as well, she also made decorative bricks from gypsum plaster in the hallway with her own hands, imitating standard masonry. As well as a housekeeper from an old shelf, and a plywood hanger-tree.

And here I propose such a trifle - blinds from the remnants of wallpaper. I did these on the balcony. It turns out super and looks original. If you do everything carefully and you don't understand what is made with your own hands! Only one nuance- thick paper wallpapers are best suited, I also tried vinyl ones, nothing came of it.

And here is what Anna did.
