At -30 ° C we walk barefoot on a wooden floor: I tell you why it is warm
Our weather is unpredictable, which is especially acute this year: until recently, pleasant 4-5 degrees of frost, and it was comfortable to ski, and now frosts hit -30 ° C, it became chilly.
But not at home: even in such frost in a wooden house, you can safely walk barefoot on the floor and not freeze. At least, if everything is done wisely. I'll tell you what the trick is. Here are our neighbors (their house is in the photo below) walking around the house in felt boots ..
First advantage - foundation thickness. Our house foundation capacity is about 1200 mm, that is, for a meter or twenty concrete goes down into the ground. A huge volume of concrete is a real heat accumulator that does not allow the subfloor to freeze.
Second feature - insulated blind area. Do not regret it and throw at least 50, or better 100 mm of penoplex when you update the blind area at home. Thanks to this, the temperature in the subfloor will not drop below + 10 ° C, and the subfloor will not cool.
The third feature - snow insulation. The neighbor zealously cleans the blind area so that you can walk around the house even in winter. He cannot answer the question "why". On the contrary, we pour snow under the house so that this natural insulation does not allow the plinth to freeze. Even at -30 ° C.
Well, the fourth feature - competent cutting off the cold. Our house cools down mainly due to the large glazing area, so the cold air under the windows must be cut off from the main room. That is why electric convectors of low power 250-500 watts are located just under the windows. As an analogue of a heat gun at the entrance to any store.
Thanks to this, even in severe frost, you can walk on the floor without slippers.
He hugged everyone, do not be ill!
