I have always been prone to obesity, but after 40 years I began to recover too quickly. But it was difficult to get rid of those extra pounds. I was told to give up any sweets and muffins.

For me, marmalade, caramels and biscuits were the staples in the diet. She couldn't even have a cup of tea without sweets. I especially relied on goodies during stress: I ate sweets, chocolate, marshmallows, cakes and buns in kilograms. And then, looking in the mirror, I saw unpleasant changes again.

No matter how hard it was for me, I decided to experiment. At first, not everything worked out: she often broke down. But then I realized that I needed to be patient and take care of my own health. Now I want to share my tips.

Give preference to main courses

Dessert is usually eaten after the first and second courses have been tasted. In order not to start consuming sweets, you need to eat well. I'm not talking about overeating, no, you need to eat in moderation.

I didn't even reduce the portion. At first, I definitely ate porridge, vegetables and herbs. These foods saturate the body with fiber and complex carbohydrates. Saturation comes quickly, you don't feel like eating for a long time. So you can do without sweet additives

There is enough sweetness in fruits and dried fruits

There is no need to give up sweetness altogether, this substance is also necessary for the normal functioning of the body. I switched to berries, fruits in the summer. And in winter I prefer to cook dried fruit compote, but without sugar.

I especially like the raisin water. Every evening I rinse a tablespoon of raisins and pour a glass of boiling water. I cover it with a saucer and leave it in the kitchen. In the morning I drink a sweet and sour compote on an empty stomach, and steamed berries are added to oatmeal. It is both healthy and tasty, but most importantly, there is no ordinary sugar in food.

Track calorie intake

At first, when I decided to give up my favorite sweets, chocolates and rolls, I made a mistake. The cut also began to eat food with a small amount of calories. As a result, I felt “out of place”, constantly felt hungry, I wanted to put something in my mouth and chew.

Then I learned that you should not abruptly give up your usual diet. It is enough to remove sweets from the diet at first. After a week, my weight dropped by 800 grams. This was the first victory! Then I began to gradually change the calorie content of food. Although it is not so easy to do this with a family. After all, she prepared her favorite dishes for her husband and children. At first, my head was spinning from the aromas.

We need positive emotions

In order not to think about sweets, you need to find a fun activity. Better yet, attract companions. I have a girlfriend with the same problems as me. So we started to give up sweets together. We ran away from sweets to nature, enrolled in a needlework circle at the House of Culture.

Helpful advice from me

I understand that after reading the article, many will begin to wash my bones. But I really gave up on the daily consumption of sweets. Although on holidays I can afford a piece of cake or a bar of chocolate. I often make low calorie cottage cheese cakes.

If you can't abruptly give up your favorite desserts, this should be done gradually:

  1. Include sweets in your breakfast to burn extra calories in the day.
  2. You need to make it “sweet” one or two days a week. But even at this time, you should not overeat and get carried away with cakes, sweets, cakes or chocolate. A small piece is enough to satisfy your desire.
  3. Many people love sweet coffee in the morning. As a rule, add 3 tablespoons of sugar. The amount of this ingredient should be reduced weekly. After 3 weeks, unsweetened coffee will become a familiar drink.

And a month later, vigor appeared, problems with sleep disappeared (I used to suffer from insomnia), but most importantly, I lost 3 kilograms.
