The Red Giant Tomato Contest starts in March (in my garden), announcement

If all the seeds sprout, I will have 22 varieties of red beef tomatoes (namely varieties). Both pink and crimson. I call giants those tomatoes that can increase the mass of fruits more than 500 g.

The competition will be international, with representatives from nine countries.

Some varieties with red fruits up to 500 g (according to the description), at the last moment, can also join the contestants if they show outstanding results.

Our tomatoes have never reached the declared weight characteristics. But this year I will try one idea, I hope our beefs will be more massive.

And yet, it will definitely not be boring, from this entire list I have grown only Pink honey.

USA will present:

1. Delicious - orange-red beef, up to 2 m in height.In 2016, at the American Tomato Festival, it entered the TOP-10 for taste out of 600 varieties presented. Can reach 2800 g.
2. Lovely Tuppy - tall up to 900 g, a family heirloom.

Russians:

3. Mazarin - ideally, a pink-raspberry heart, an indeterminate beef tomato. There are two different Mazarin tomatoes, giant and medium sized. In Rosreestr, there is another, determinant Mazarin with a modest size of fruits, up to 190 g. A rather early, popular giant is expected for me.

4. Potato raspberry - this is a potato leaf, a raspberry tomato :) Shrub up to 1.2 m, determinant. Fruits up to 800 g. I will plant it in open ground.

5. Miracle of the earth - I bought it (most varieties are donated). I saw a classmate with a huge tomato on the social network. I asked - very tasty! Up to 1200 g is promised by the seed producer, Siberian Garden

6. Minusinsky balls - an amateur variety. Can reach 800 g. Indeterminate.

7. Podsinsky miracle - also from Minusinsk, up to 2 m. I will have it in the open ground, because it is prone to top rot. Fruits are elongated, up to 900g This variety is one of the contenders for the title of the most mature among the red.

8. Bull heart from the Gonsiorovskys - here everyone understands: the Minusin giant. Bush up to 2 m, i.e. for the greenhouse. We wait!

9. Korneevsky red - fruits up to 800 g, bush 1.8 m

10. Large red - up to 600 g, storage and transportable. 1-1.5 m

11. Alsou - beef up to 1 kg. Siberian! Bush up to 1.5 m, will be in the open field.

12. Pink honey - the same characteristics as Alsou. Because they are close relatives. I grew up successfully in the open field, so it will grow there again.

13. Russian amateur sweet - pink large fruits, there is no more accurate information. I will plant next to Alsou and Rose Honey.

14. Majestic - seeds with mycorrhiza, fruits up to 700 g. Tall, online store gift.

Canadian:

15. Juwel - an old variety with fruits per kilogram. True, they write that this is supposedly a fake Yuvel. For me a real one, I am an amateur, not a collector. Bush 1.2 -1.8 m

From Germany:

16. Vater Rhine - bush up to 1.6 m, and fruits up to 700 g.

From Bulgaria:

17. Christina Vatcheva - huge red tomatoes with a unique aroma. The variety is a heirloom. They almost never write about the aroma of tomatoes, but it's so interesting! Bush 1.7 m

Ukrainians:

18. Gorgeous bonnie - up to 1.5 kg, will grow outdoors, because its fruit is cylindrical (angular), usually elongated fruits suffer from apical rot... In the open field, they will not be as hot as in the greenhouse, I hope it will cost in the coming season. Bush up to 1.8 m.

19. Stake - tall, up to 600 g, ancient aromatic variety

Portugal presents:

20. Dacosta Portuguese - bush up to 2 m, fruits of a beautiful dark pink color up to 800 g

Swiss

21. Daetwyler - indeterminate bush, red tomatoes of medium ripening, up to 800 g. Old variety, heirloom tomato.

From Australia

22. Australian - tall low-seeded tomato with ribs, red fruits up to 1 kg
