Homemade solution for fungus and mold
Three years ago, the floorboards in our house began to creak. It was in winter, so we didn't go into the underground and see what had changed there. Then, on the May holidays, exactly in the midst of the barbecue, two boards of the finished floor fell through right under our feet.
On the same day, we went down to the basement and found that mold had eaten three beams, a sub-floor, and a few planks of the finished floor. Of course, with grief, these beams were changed in half, the entire floor, insulation and films were removed ...
But how to process the logs and sub-floor under the rest of the house? There, too, there is a slight coating of mold! After all, even in the Bible, somewhere there are lines "if your house is affected by mold, burn it down and build a new one."
We did not want such radical changes and began to study the topic.
It turned out that the most effective and inexpensive remedy for fungus and mold is an ordinary saturated solution of table salt. Who would have thought that a hangover and fungus on wood can be gotten rid of with the same liquid?
Therefore, we processed new beams and boards of the final and subfloor as follows:
- sagus (this is the same whiteness, a very powerful salt solution);
- fire protection (red, very convenient to apply - flaws are visible)
- finishing the most powerful salt solution - the salt draws moisture out of the wood, and the beam becomes like a stone.
Don't believe me?
Here is some evidence, comments from Zen people who also used salt to fight mold in their homes.
