Wine stains and how to deal with them! 6 practical tips for saving textiles
Spilled wine on your favorite dress? Calm, only calm! He can be saved! And this is easy enough to do.
Good afternoon dear friends!
Wine is an insidious drink. Especially red! I would like to add the following phrase: "Joke!" But no! Wine can not only hit your head, but also irrevocably ruin your favorite dress, tablecloth or light carpet. The components of the wine are very quickly absorbed, dyeing the fabric with their pigments. Fortunately, people have long figured out how to deal with wine traces, and not only fresh, but already dried up.
I have collected 6 effective methods for saving your favorite things. Well, let's get started ?!
1.Salt and fresh stain. A fresh stain is always easier to remove. Therefore, if you just spilled wine on your outfit or tablecloth, then do not waste time, rather grab a salt shaker and salt, salt the stain.
And it's not a joke! Cover the stain with a thick layer of common table salt. Wait about one hour. During this time, the liquid is absorbed into the salt crystals. Then remove them with a soft bristled brush or sponge. After that, the item can be washed.
2.Milk and fresh stain. If salt is not at hand, then look for milk. It can also help you deal with wine stains. First, blot the wine trail with a paper towel or tissue. Just do not rub it, otherwise the wine will spread over a large area.
Then dampen a clean towel with milk and place it over the stain. The fabric should be well saturated with milk. Leave it on for an hour. During this time, the wine should disappear from the fabric.
3.Hydrogen peroxide, soap and fresh stain. The following method only works great if the stain is fresh. You will need liquid soap, hydrogen peroxide, and a spray bottle. Blot the stain with a paper or clean kitchen towel. Then in a bottle, mix equal parts liquid soap and peroxide.
Spray the mixture all over the stain, and scrub the stain with a piece of cloth or tea towel until it disappears.
4.Boiling water and a fresh stain. There are also such life circumstances when the above means are not at hand. But there is almost always water! Boil water! Then take an empty saucepan and place it in the sink.
Spread the fabric over the pot so that the stain is in the center. And start pouring boiling water right on it. To enhance the effectiveness of the water, pour boiling water from a high height - about 0.5-1 meters.
5.Shaving cream and dried stain. Noticing a stain on the fabric late? And it treacherously eaten into the fabric! No problem! Shaving foam will come to the rescue.
Lather the red wine stain. You do not need to rub it in. Then we wash it in warm water. If the stain has not been removed the first time, then the whole process will have to be repeated until the stain disappears. The only thing to remember: the thing cannot be dried between washings.
6.White wine, soda and dried stain. There is one more technique that will allow you to get rid of the dried stain of red wine. The method is paradoxical, but... it works! You will need white wine, soda, a spray bottle, and water.
Dampen the stain with white wine. Do not spare a valuable product! The stain should be well saturated. Then mix the baking soda and a little water until a paste. And apply the resulting mixture to the stain. Wait about 3 hours. Spray some baking soda with a spray bottle as it dries. After 3 hours, the item must be washed in the washing machine.
