Fertilizers for a spring garden: what top dressing I definitely bring to Berries and fruit trees

Caring for a rich harvest of fruit and berry crops begins in early spring. And at this time, the applied fertilizers are of great importance. In fact, this is how the well-being of the garden is laid for the entire season ahead!

After studying the scientific and botanical literature and consulting with experienced gardeners, I finally figured out what top dressing needs to be applied in the spring and I hope my experience can someone come in handy!

The first substance that plants need in early spring, that is, in March, is nitrogen. It is he who is necessary in order for the leaves to bloom quickly and flower buds to be laid on time. Without it, the processes of photosynthesis cannot proceed well.

It is noteworthy that nitrogen-containing fertilizers can have various forms, which are partially chosen based on the varieties of cultivated plants:

· Plums and cherries - saltpeter and urea;

· Apple trees and pears - urea and humus;

· Other trees and berry bushes - nitrophoska and potassium nitrate.

In April, if we are talking about a warm year and about gardens in regions with a mild climate, you can add urea, that is, urea, again. This can be done both on the eve of flowering and during it.

But in order not to ruin the future harvest, it is necessary to dilute the fertilizer very strongly - the ratio of urea to water should be 1:70.

But I strongly recommend leaving organic fertilizers for the period after flowering ends. The fact is that fruit trees and shrubs that have recently awakened from winter "sleep" first need potent substances - so that certain processes are activated in them, ensuring good fruiting and even in the future - wintering for the next cold season.

So organics can be called a kind of "dessert" for the garden! An excellent choice would be slurry, diluted in a ratio of 0.5 liters per 1 bucket of water, or chicken droppings in the amount of 250 g per 1 bucket of water.

In addition, having collected weeds on the site, you can prepare a green "cocktail" - by filling the tank with it by 2/3 of its volume, filling it with water and keeping it this way for 2 weeks. Then the infusion can be simply diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10 and trees and shrubs can be watered.

In fact, you can limit yourself to such simple fertilizers in the spring for your garden, thoroughly taking care of it and the desired harvest!
