My favorite way of feeding raspberries in spring to get an unprecedented harvest in summer

Raspberries are a rather capricious berry crop. In search of something that will help significantly improve the quality and quantity of its harvest, I re-read a lot of popular scientific botanical literature, and also consulted with experienced gardeners.

Finally, the ideal top dressing was discovered and now, guided by personal experience, I can share the nuances of its preparation and use with everyone who loves raspberries!

And I want to emphasize right away that a truly effective feeding of raspberries involves the introduction of fertilizers in several stages, which all together merge into really noticeable and complete results.

It all starts as soon as the above zero temperature is stable and the buds begin to swell on the bushes. During this period, raspberries tend to build up green mass and therefore are in dire need of nitrogen fertilizers.

The ideal choice is nitroammophoska, which contains all the necessary minerals at once, namely, phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen. The recommended consumption of nitroammophoska is 30 g per 1 sq. m. landings.

Naturally, the planned sanitary pruning of the raspberry tree should be carried out before feeding, that is, before the start of sap flow. And after feeding, it is necessary to provide the shrubs with high-quality care, that is, water in sufficient quantities and do not forget to loosen soil so that the root system of plants receives enough oxygen, without which, in principle, a healthy course of processes in plants.

The second component of my favorite feeding raspberry should get during the budding period. It is very important not to miss the moment and bring it in just before flowering! The fact is that only in this case one can count on the formation of large and sweet berries.

Most of all at this time raspberries need potassium and phosphorus, so diammophoska is my choice. The recommended fertilizer consumption is 10 g per 1 sq. m. plantings of raspberries, but this is when it comes to young plants! For shrubs 3 years old or older, the dosage should be increased to 20 g.

Plus, in my opinion, diammophoska is also in the fact that a chemically neutral fertilizer with an acidity index of pH 7, which has a positive effect on the immunity of raspberries, increases its resistance to pests, diseases and whims weather.

As a standard, diammophoska is introduced into moist soil, but if the weather is rainy, then in principle, the granules can simply be scattered over the surface of the soil without covering it.
