In this article, I would like to share my experience of growing chocolate tomatoes that will please you not only for their unusual colors, but also for their excellent taste.

There are already several varieties of chocolate tomatoes that differ in some characteristics. Which variety to choose, decide for yourself. All of the following varieties grew in my beds.

1. "Chocolate" - we grow both in greenhouses and in the beds. Bushes grow up to one and a half meters in height. The fruits are not small - 400-450 g, have a brown-red skin and orange-brown flesh.

Looks very nice in salads and on a plate in the context. Tomatoes taste sweet. The yield is high. This variety is resistant to changing climatic conditions, does not crack. Best for preparing fresh salads.

2. "Paul Robson" is a medium-sized variety that has been tested over the years. Experienced gardeners have been growing it since the days of the Soviet Union. The bushes are not very tall, but it is necessary to tie them up, because there are many fruits and they are large.

Tomatoes of this variety are red-brown in color. Tomatoes taste sweet and very aromatic. They are best used for making salads.

3. "Brown sugar" is a late variety. Best grown in a greenhouse. The bushes grow to over two meters. The fruits do not grow very large and are great for canning.

The shape of the tomatoes is round, the skin is brown. The pulp of this variety is sweet, juicy. Tomatoes are disease resistant and require almost no processing.

4. "Chocolate bunny" is a late-ripening variety. I really liked the fact that it is suitable for growing in the open field. The bushes are tall, so a garter is required.

The fruits resemble plums. They are medium-sized, so they are great for canning. Taste qualities are excellent and they are popular with most housewives. In addition, Chocolate Bunny is a high-yielding variety.

5. "Black Elephant" is a medium grade. Grown in the open field. The fruits are large, but do not crack. Bushes require a garter, as they reach more than one and a half meters.

Tomatoes of this variety are usually eaten fresh because they are very large and poorly stored.
