Radish varieties that have almost no flaws, which are praised by all the familiar Summer residents
I tried many varieties of radish and planted them both in a greenhouse and immediately in open ground. From my own experience and from the experience of other summer residents, I can say that some varieties of this vegetable are especially pleasing and do not cause problems with growing.
"Octave"
This is a late variety that can be eaten 30-40 days after germination. The roots are round and milky in color. The taste of the radish is juicy, there is no pronounced pungency. I would say these vegetables have a slightly oily flavor.
By weight, each root crop reaches about 25 g. One of the main advantages is a fairly long shelf life. "Octave" can lie from two weeks to a month. This variety is appreciated for its exceptional taste.
"Beauty"
In my opinion, very productive varieties. Root crops appear 20-25 days after the first shoots and weigh about 18 g. Radish has a pronounced ruby color.
You can plant seeds in the penumbra of the garden, which will not affect growth in any way. One of the important advantages is that you do not need to choose a landing site for a long time. The color of the leaves is yellowish and many think that this indicates some kind of disease.
This is actually the normal shade for radish tops. The pulp is weak and sweetish. "Krasa" is a very tasty variety that can be stored for about 10 days.
"Champion"
A mid-early variety that bears harvest 27-28 days after germination. Root crops reach a weight of 20 g, have an oblong shape and a rich red color. The flesh is dense with a sharp point expressed in the taste.
From experience, I noticed that the less water this radish variety, the sharper it becomes, so every housewife is able to control the taste.
The advantages of the "Champion" include:
• voids are not formed;
· High productivity;
· Does not overripe;
· There is no shooting.
"Luck"
This is a late variety with a harvest 35-40 days after germination. The shape is an elongated cylinder of bright red color about 15 cm. Root crops have very juicy and tender pulp of high density. "Good luck" is stored for up to 20 days and reaches a weight of 50-60 g.
It is a very fruitful and tasty mild-spicy variety. If desired, you can eat the radishes until fully ripe, but then the texture will be a little watery.
"French breakfast"
An early date that produces crops by 25 days after germination. Root vegetables are juicy, crunchy and sweetish in taste. Outwardly, they have an oblong cylindrical shape and pink color.
I love this variety for its disease resistance and stable growth. I advise you to plant "French Breakfast" only in loose soil. So the yield will be much higher.
