In Russia, brick houses are considered expensive, and in Egypt every house is brick
Brick is a rather expensive material for Russia and many CIS countries. We are used to the fact that panel houses are cheaper, and brick houses are more expensive. Brick houses have much better sound insulation, as well as thermal insulation - brick houses are warmer.
What is happening in Egypt? In the land of the pyramids, the opposite is true.
Brick is a material that literally wallows underfoot. Huge reserves of sandstone, relatively inexpensive labor, technically difficult panel production - and voila, we get the answer why most houses in Egypt are brick.
Separately, it is worth explaining the construction methods in Egypt, especially in non-tourist areas. In the land of the pyramids, it is customary to live with the whole family in one house. At the same time, they greatly value personal space, and, therefore, even in poor areas, they try to provide each family member with a separate room. It is also very important to have a guest room. All this together led to the fact that the Egyptians were settled “floor by floor”. For example, on the first floor - the older generation, grandparents. The parents are on the second floor. The third is children, etc.
Developers in Egypt do not build too tall buildings, but their own "completion" is permissible - in agreement with the developer and the local administration.
Houses are usually rented without interior decoration.
So the young family will still have to invest in renovation and furnishing of the interior.
What is a typical interior in Egypt? Contrary to popular stereotypes, you can hardly find an abundance of gold and luxury in ordinary Egyptian homes. The interiors in Egypt are very close to the Soviet ones:
Egyptians love sideboards, where they keep sets and donated figurines. The dining table is made of wood, and the color scheme of the rooms is in light colors.
