Electrician is not a dangerous profession for everyone

Today I want to raise a very important topic and talk about the fact that an electrician (power engineer) is a dangerous profession that requires special concentration and self-organization, and before choosing such a profession it is better to think 10 times: Do you need everything this is?

Electrician - every day in danger

Many of us were glad that such a difficult and, in many plans, difficult year of 2020 passed. But personally in our organization, the year 2021 began with several accidents, which ended, unfortunately, tragically.

It was this unhappy occasion that prompted me to write this material and warn young people who, perhaps, are thinking of linking their fate with energy.

Before choosing the profession of an electrician (power engineer), you should know that this profession is associated with constant risk. After all, electricity has neither color nor smell. He absolutely does not care what your mood is, whether you get enough sleep or not.

If you take a careless act and deviate from strict rules even for a second in order to do something quickly, then you can immediately get under stress.

If everything works, then the electrician is messing around, we are looking for a job for him

Also, be prepared for the fact that if you work in a large organization, then in 8 cases out of 10, management will think that you are a lazy person. Here is a real case from my practice:

At one time, I had a chance to work in the road repair and construction department, where there was a team of electricians responsible for TP-10 / 0.4 and all the electrical equipment of the base (I must admit it was rather big). I worked then as an ordinary electrician.

Our division approached work responsibly and always performed a full complex before the start of the season. revision work, and during the season constantly monitored the equipment and supported it in the working condition. And everything was fine until the new leadership came, which saw that we three "lazy" just sit at the base and do nothing when it is possible to be useful.

Therefore, in the summer season, we (electricians) went to paint curbs, install signs, etc. And all our arguments that we need to perform revision work were completely ignored.

This went on for three months, until one fine moment behind us, while beautiful another a batch of pegs, they urgently did not come shouting, they say, the asphalt plants are standing, because something broke.

And that was just the beginning. So, due to the desire of the management to attach three "lazy people" to work, that season the plant stood for repairs for 14 days, as often malfunctions fell like a cornucopia.

After that, I left that place of work, as we were deprived of the annual and monthly bonuses for simple and incurred losses. The management did not understand that if everything is working properly, then the electricians are working well.

Sorry for the lyrical digression, but it will help young people understand the whole reality of the profession.

A good electrician is highly valued

No, don’t you think, I’m not saying that the profession of an electrician is unnecessary and unclaimed by anyone. A good electrician is appreciated, and he can earn very decent money, but in most cases only when working for himself.

In most organizations, unfortunately, he is little appreciated and no one understands that an electrician is a dangerous a profession that requires constant concentration, adherence to strict discipline and continuous self-development.

Therefore, I urge once again, if you have chosen this profession, take electricity with the utmost seriousness. Remember that this is just work and should be done calmly and without deviating from the instructions.

Observe safety precautions and constantly educate yourself, and then even in such a difficult profession you will reach heights. And most importantly, take care of yourself, because they are waiting for you at home!
